Provision of Full Terms
A full copy of our service terms and conditions will be supplied to customers during or upon completion of the work. These terms apply to all services provided by Digital TV Systems and form part of the service agreement between the customer and the company.
Customers are encouraged to read the full terms provided with their invoice or documentation.
Quotations and Estimates
Any quotations provided are based on the information available at the time and may be subject to change if additional work or materials are required.
Where possible, all work and associated costs will be discussed and agreed with the customer before proceeding.
Access to Property
Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the property for the purpose of carrying out the agreed work.
If access cannot be provided at the agreed time, additional charges may apply for rearranged visits.
Installation and Workmanship
All work is carried out using appropriate tools and equipment and in accordance with good industry practice.
Where applicable, existing equipment and cabling may be reused if it is considered suitable for continued operation.
Equipment and Materials
Any equipment supplied by Digital TV Systems remains the responsibility of the customer once installation has been completed and payment has been made.
Where customers request the installation of equipment they have supplied themselves, Digital TV Systems cannot guarantee compatibility or performance.
Payment Terms
Payment is normally required upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking or completion of the work.
Warranty
Where equipment is supplied by Digital TV Systems, manufacturer warranties will apply where applicable.
Workmanship warranties may apply depending on the nature of the installation.
Warranty does not cover damage caused by weather conditions, third-party interference, accidental damage, the retuning of equipment, installing software updates, loss of smart features/apps or alterations made by others.
Signal and Reception Conditions
Television and wireless signal performance can be affected by external factors such as transmitter changes, weather conditions, surrounding buildings or local interference. While every effort is made to achieve the best possible reception, Digital TV Systems cannot guarantee signal strength where external factors are beyond our control.
Consumer Contracts & Doorstep Regulations
Where services are arranged away from our business premises, such as bookings made by telephone, online or during a visit to the customer’s property, the work may be subject to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Customers will be informed of their rights where applicable. In certain circumstances customers may have the right to cancel a contract within a cooling-off period. However, where the customer requests work to begin immediately or urgently, they may be asked to confirm that the work should proceed before the end of the cancellation period.
Where such confirmation is given, the customer may be liable for reasonable costs relating to equipment supplied or work carried out before cancellation.
Where applicable, customers may have rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The full terms of the contract between Digital TV Systems and the customer, including how to request cancellation and how work carried out prior to cancellation is treated, will be provided to the customer upon completion of the requested work.
Limitation of Liability
Digital TV Systems cannot be held responsible for signal issues caused by external factors such as transmitter changes, weather conditions, local interference or building construction.
While every effort is made to provide reliable installations, television reception and wireless signal performance may vary depending on local conditions.
Cancellation
If a booked appointment needs to be cancelled or rearranged, customers should provide as much notice as possible. If no notice is given then we reserve the right to charge you our standard call-out charge in full for the missed appointment.
